For decades, Somerset Guest Lodge has welcomed travellers seeking comfortable accommodation in the heart of Somerset West. Set within a charming Cape Dutch-style building, the lodge has become known for its relaxed atmosphere, friendly hospitality, and convenient location.
The lodge offers 12 en-suite rooms, each individually styled to create a comfortable and welcoming stay for both business and leisure travellers. Guests can enjoy modern comforts including complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, and mini fridges.
Located on the premises, The Arksey Village Pub adds to the unique character of Somerset Guest Lodge, offering guests a cosy and relaxed setting to enjoy a drink or unwind after a busy day.

General Information
Checking In
Our standard check-in time is 2:00 PM daily, with check-out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Early check-ins can be arranged with the manager, subject to room availability and readiness by your arrival time. Late check-outs until 1:00 PM are possible with a 25% surcharge. Check-outs after 2:00 PM will incur an additional full-day charge.
Your Room Key
Please keep your room keys secure at all times. Each key set includes access to your room and the building’s front door. The front door is locked from 10:00 PM onward, requiring your keys for entry. Upon check-out, kindly ring the front office bell and return your keys to our staff.
Parking
Safe secure parking is available at both the front and back entrances of the building for up to 20 vehicles. Please ensure you do not leave valuables such as cellphones, laptops, or keys visible in your car.
Functions and Parties
Our restaurant area is the perfect venue for hosting functions and celebrations, comfortably accommodating up to 60 guests. Whether you are planning a year-end function, birthday celebration, corporate gathering, or another special occasion, we would love to help create a memorable experience for you.
Guests are welcome to enquire about our catering and dining options, tailored to suit the nature of your event.
Be sure to ask about our charming braai area, tucked away in a beautiful courtyard adorned with fairy lights and vibrant bougainvillea — creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for any occasion.
Restaurant Hours
Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday through Friday. Start your day with a hearty, warm English breakfast, freshly prepared and served each morning to ensure a satisfying and comforting start to your stay

Smoking
All rooms at our lodge are non-smoking. If you prefer to smoke, please request a room with a patio and smoke outside. Ashtrays are provided for your convenience.
Our bar is designated as a smoking area, while smoking is also permitted in the courtyard. Please note that smoking is not allowed in the rest of the building.
Rooms that have been smoked in will incur a R1500 cleaning fee for carpet and upholstery restoration.
